Steppng Stones Learning Center provides licensed infant and toddler care, preschool programs and before- and after-school care for children in kindergarten through 5th grade.

Stepping Stones Learning Center is open year round, Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The facility is licensed by Community Care Licensing through the State. It accepts all children it is licensed to serve, without regard to ethnic background, gender or creed.

Stepping Stones's philosophy

We endeavor to provide for every child a sense of themselves as an individual, as a member of their family and as a member of their community. We seek to provide a home environment, conducive to the total growth and development of the child. With love, warmth, concern and security, we want to become an extension of the child's second home. Our main concern goes far beyond caring for the child's safety and physical needs; it nurtures the child's mind, curiosity and enthusiasm in the secure and sensitive manner. We also extend and supplements the parents' care in a way consistent with the values and goals of the child's family and culture. Quality care strengthens the child's basic attachment to his/her parents; there by reaffirming parents as the major force in the child's personal development.

A strong relationship between us and the family is preserved through daily contact. In order to provide a caring environment designed to meet the child's needs, knowledge of the family's background and cultural priorities is vital.
